The International Children’s Film Festival India (ICFFI), The Golden Elephant 2017, has set to host Iranian film ‘Hell of a Wedding’.
Directed by Seyyed-Reza Khatibi, the film is to be screened at the 20th edition of the event.
Starring Mir-Taher Mazloumi, Naeemeh Nezamdoust and Ali-Reza Khamseh, the film is a joint project by Iran and France.
The flick is a children’s comedy telling the tale of a group of kids at a wedding confronting a perilously dangerous circumstance as they find out the groom’s brother is a drug trafficker. However, no one takes the children serious and thus, they decide to take the initiative.
In October 2016, the movie won the special jury prize at the 8th 3D Korea International Film Festival in its first international participation.
‘Houra’ directed by Gholamreza Sagharchian, ‘Formula 13’ by Nasser Refaei and and Soheil Movaffaq’s ‘Chocolate’ are the other Iranian representatives to be screened at the Golden Elephant ICFFI.
The festival is scheduled to be held on November 8-14, 2017, in Telangana, India.
